La Medina d’Agadir is constructed in the Berber style, but it’s quite a new construction erected in the 2000s. The original medina that existed in Agadir before was destroyed by the earthquake. La Medina d’Agadir is situated around 5 kilometers from the city centre and is absolutely worth visiting. This neighborhood is home to a living ethnological museum, a bazaar, and art workshops. Handcrafted artworks, local trinkets, and paintings can all be found here. The architecture is impressive considering that the medina was built entirely by hand from local materials and decorated in Saharan and Berber styles.
